I normally wear 11 reg dress/casual shoes, although I really am a 10.5 W. So I figured 10.5s should fit perfect. The length was good but the OVERLY soft leather on the redwood instantly started forming to the outer edge of my foot. Looked awful. Not to mention they showed up with a crease in the toe already. So I took them in the shower with me and with the aide of the hot water they fit and look a little better. The sole got dirty in 1 day! So I took some Lincoln black shoe polish and a tooth brush and stained it. Now its a deep brown, and looks great. Also threw about 6 heavy coats of polish on them, and they look great. 1 of a kind. I wore them into the Clark’s store and bought me a set of perfect fitting 11.5s. 1 size up from my norm. Very comfortable and look fantastic, wear with jeans and your classy and rugged. In regards to size, make sure you order a size down, because they do run big. I wear an 11 sneaker and wear a 10 for the boot, I could probably go down to a 9.5. Secondly, they are suede and therefore do get dirty very quickly and easily. If you are the type of person who has to have that “fresh” look than I would recommend you go with a darker color than sand. I’ve found that with a brush and some proper cleaning technique they can retain their luster. One thing I do wish I had done before wearing them out is to put some suede protector spray on them. They are some pretty sweet boots. Despite their bulkiness, they’re pretty light. The tread on the bottom is deep for great traction on the snow and ice. They are solid and completely waterproof. The inside is lined with fleece-like comfort and warmth. I love these boots and I hope it snows all winter long so I can wear them as much as possible.
